Improvement in Tunisia’s Overall Dam Reserves

The National Observatory for Agriculture reported that the dam filling rate in Tunisia reached approximately 36.5% as of April 16, 2025, according to the April edition of the Early Warning Bulletin, published on Monday.

The data shows that the Sidi Salem Dam is currently filled to just 21.7% of its capacity, while the Sidi El Barrak Dam has reached a much higher filling rate of about 71.3%. Overall, Tunisia’s total dam reserves have improved by 4% compared to the same period in 2024, rising to 865.3 million cubic meters from 832.8 million cubic meters.
