Pyongyang mocked U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent proposal regarding the purchase of the Gaza Strip, its redistribution among neighbouring countries, and the relocation of its residents.
In a statement on Wednesday, North Korea described the idea as « ridiculous, » asserting that it crushes the last hopes of Palestinians for an independent state while fueling global hatred and pushing the already volatile region to the brink of catastrophe.
North Korea’s Foreign Ministry also urged Washington to wake up from its “delusional dreams” and stop interfering with the sovereignty of nations. The statement further recalled Trump’s previous controversial remarks, including his suggestion to annex Canada as the 51st U.S. state and his provocations toward Colombia, Panama, and Mexico.
The ministry emphasized that the United States has no right to undermine or violate the sovereignty of other nations in any form.
