Enhancing Tunisian-Saudi Cooperation in Mining Sector

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, met with Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, on the sidelines of the 4th International Mining Conference in Riyadh. The conference, held from January 14-16, 2025, is themed « Achieving Impact. »

The two sides praised the strong and long-standing cooperation between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia and discussed potential partnerships to exchange knowledge and expertise, contributing to joint mining projects. They also highlighted the importance of using the latest technologies to harness natural resources and increase productivity in the mining and fertilizer sectors.

Both parties emphasized the need for industrial integration, energy transition, and the organization of field visits for experts from both countries, focusing on innovation, environmental protection, and reducing carbon emissions.
