Israel Strikes Sanaa Airport and Houthi Targets in Yemen

The Israeli military launched strikes on Houthi-linked sites in Yemen on Thursday, targeting Sanaa’a International Airport and three ports on the western coast. Houthi media reported three deaths and 11 injuries.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in Yemen to assess humanitarian conditions, said he was at the airport when it was attacked. A crew member was injured, and facilities sustained damage, though Tedros and his team were unharmed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue operations, saying, “We are determined to sever the terrorist arm of Iran’s axis.”

The strikes follow frequent Houthi drone and missile attacks on Israel in support of Palestinians. Israel has urged European nations to label the Houthi movement a terrorist organization.
