Turkiye to Facilitate the Return of Syrians with New Immigration Measures

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the establishment of an immigration office at the Turkish Embassy in Damascus and the Turkish Consulate in Aleppo to facilitate the return of Syrians to their home country.

During his participation in a meeting with Anadolu Agency’s editorial board, the Minister explained that, under the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, one member of each Syrian family residing in Turkey will be allowed to travel to Syria and return up to three times between January and July 2025. This initiative aims to ease the process of organizing the return of their families to Syria.

He also noted that Syrians returning to their home country would be allowed to bring all of their belongings and vehicles with them.
