Qatari High-Level Delegation Visits Damascus After 13 Years

Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi, has arrived today Monday in Damascus at the head of a high-level delegation for meetings with Syrian officials. This marks the first visit by a Qatari delegation to Syria in 13 years, following a long break in relations.

The visit highlights Qatar’s continued support for the Syrian people and its commitment to Syria’s sovereignty and independence. Qatar also reopened its embassy in Damascus last Saturday after a 13-year closure.

The delegation’s arrival underscores the strengthening of ties between Qatar and Syria, as Qatar seeks to reinforce its support for Syria’s stability.
