Bitcoin Reaches All-Time High for the First Time

The price of Bitcoin surged to an all-time high, reaching $106,000 during early Asian trading on Monday, December 16, 2024. This milestone comes alongside comments from the newly elected U.S. President, Donald Trump, who indicated his intention to create a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve, similar to the country’s strategic oil reserves.

Bitcoin, the world’s largest and most well-known cryptocurrency, hit a peak of $106,533, and in the latest trades, it was priced at $105,688.

Tony Sycamore, an analyst at IG, commented, « We are now in a phase of record numbers. The next target the market is eyeing is $110,000. The pullback that many had been expecting just hasn’t occurred. »
