The initiative, named after ENI founder Enrico Mattei, focuses on fostering sustainable development in Africa, with Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria as key partners, according to Al Jazeera.

Morocco stands out for its advanced renewable energy projects, including wind farms built through partnerships with Enel Green Power and local companies. Tunisia and Algeria are also pivotal, with projects like the Medlink solar initiative aimed at exporting electricity to Europe.
