Algerian Foreign Minister’s Working Visit to Tunis

Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, visited Tunisia on April 9-10, 2025.

On April 9, after meeting President Kaïs Saïed, Mr. Attaf held a working session with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti to discuss upcoming bilateral initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening strategic ties in key areas such as trade, economic cooperation, energy, water, food security, and border area development. They also stressed the importance of enhanced coordination to address regional and international challenges in security, development, and climate change, reinforcing stability across the Maghreb, Africa, and the Mediterranean.

Additionally, both leaders expressed a unified stance on the urgent need to end the aggression against Palestinian territories and called on the international community to provide immediate humanitarian protection for the resilient Palestinian people.
