Harvard metabolic health researcher Nick Norwitz has warned that certain fruits high in fructose, such as mangoes, grapes, and jackfruit, may negatively impact metabolism and increase the risk of obesity and other health issues.
He explained that excessive consumption of these fruits can lead to gut and liver imbalances and may affect fructose absorption, causing digestive problems. To minimize these risks, he recommends opting for low-sugar fruits like berries, kiwi, and citrus fruits.
