France and Ivory Coast Strengthen Military Cooperation

As part of their ongoing military partnership, France and Ivory Coast began large-scale exercises on Sunday in the San Pedro region, running through Thursday, March 13, 2025.

The drills aim to improve combat readiness with realistic scenarios, including amphibious landings, counterattacks, and securing strategic coastal areas. The focus is on rapid deployment to counter unconventional threats such as terrorism and maritime infiltration.

In addition to combat tasks, the exercises involve tactical maneuvers in various terrains, from coastal areas to tropical forests, further strengthening the capabilities of both forces. These drills are part of a long-term training program to enhance defense cooperation between the two countries.
