Tunisia and Venezuela Strengthen Agricultural Ties

On March 10, 2025, Tunisia’s Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Azeddine Ben Cheikh, met with Venezuela’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Reinaldo José Bolívar, to discuss bilateral agricultural cooperation and future development prospects.

The two sides agreed to form a joint expert team to define cooperation areas and establish a legal framework for implementing bilateral programs. These initiatives will focus on natural resource management, scientific research, and technology transfer to enhance the sector.

Minister Ben Cheikh highlighted Tunisia’s competitive agricultural products, while Ambassador Bolívar expressed Venezuela’s interest in Tunisia’s expertise, particularly in irrigation systems.
