Tunisia and China Sign MoU for the Aghlabid Medical City in Kairouan

Tunisia’s Minister of Health, Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, met in China with Lui Sushe, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, on February 24, 2025, to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Dr. Ferjani praised China’s commitment to the Aghlabid Medical City project in Kairouan, emphasizing its potential to position Tunisia as a regional medical hub, attracting international patients and students.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a key milestone in the project’s development and reinforcing the growing partnership between Tunisia and China.
