World’s Strongest Armies in 2025: USA First Globally, Egypt Leads Arab Nations

The 2025 Global Firepower (GFP) rankings highlight the United States, Russia, China, India, and South Korea as the top five military powers worldwide. Among Arab countries, Egypt leads, ranking 19th globally, followed by Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, and the UAE.

At the bottom of the list are Kosovo, Somalia, the Central African Republic, Benin, and Bhutan.

The GFP index evaluates military strength in 145 countries using 50 criteria, including the number and variety of weapons, natural resources, logistics, financial stability, technology, combat readiness, and geographic factors. Egypt’s strong military position underscores its significant influence in the Arab world and beyond.
