California Wildfires Cost the U.S. $150 Billion

Los Angeles is facing unprecedented losses from wildfires, with damages projected to exceed $135 billion and potentially reaching $150 billion, according to a BBC report. The fires, affecting high-value real estate, have also led to significant insured losses estimated at over $8 billion by industry analysts.

The « Palisades » and « Eaton » fires have destroyed more than 10,000 buildings combined. Efforts to control the fires are ongoing, and the full extent of the devastation is yet to be determined.
