Tourism receipts in Tunisia reached an impressive 6.844 billion dinars by the end of November 2024, marking a significant increase compared to 6.411 billion dinars during the same period last year.
According to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), this represents a rise of 433 million dinars in tourism revenue compared to November 2023.
In euro terms, the receipts amounted to €2.029 billion, calculated using the average interbank exchange rate for the first 11 months of the year (1 euro = 3.3715 dinars).
The Tunisian government anticipates that the total number of tourists for 2024 will reach 9.8 million, exceeding the 9.4 million visitors recorded in 2023. This growth reflects the continued recovery and expansion of Tunisia’s tourism sector, a key driver of the country’s economy.
