The Libyan Ministry of Interior has declared today Friday a state of emergency across all security directorates and agencies due to ongoing severe weather conditions.
This decision was made in coordination with the Emergency and Ambulance Service, the Emergency Medicine and Support Center, the Red Crescent, and public service companies in affected regions, raising the preparedness level to its maximum to address potential emergencies.
The ministry has urged citizens to stay away from rainwater pathways and low-lying areas while exercising caution to ensure their safety. It also emphasized the importance of adhering to guidelines issued by the relevant authorities.
Authorities confirmed they are closely monitoring the situation on the ground and will provide necessary updates to guarantee public safety.
